Woodford Folk Festival

Woodford Folk Festival 150 150 oriel

Woodford Folk Festival is a juicy, soul-warming mix of blues-roots-soul, folk-rock-pop, traditional-world, first nations, dance, circus-vaudeville, talks, comedy, street, meditation, visual arts and children.  All rolled into a valley village that pops up once a year.  Henna Harem has attended this event since 1999.

Mullum Music Festival

Mullum Music Festival 150 150 oriel

Biggest Little Town puts on a fair-sized show – utilising it’s best assets, this festival is set within pre-existing venues amongst the colour and life of down-town Mullumbimby.

It’s a hoot!

Returning to the Middle Ages

Returning to the Middle Ages 150 150 oriel

Our henna stall has attended the Abbey Medieval Tournament since 2004 providing a traditional henna experience to those visiting Abbeystowe.

Our henna paste is made fresh using natural ingredients. Over the weekend we create traditional designs from Medieval Europe, Persia, Africa, India and Egypt.

Information boards are displayed for public interest with henna use and design trends during the Middle Ages, as well as a long list of countries using henna between 600 and 1600 AD.

We love coming to the Abbey Medieval Tournament in pursuit of fun, inspiration and historical excellence!

In 2014, this event is on 12th & 13th July.

Byron Bay Market

Byron Bay Market 150 150 oriel

The markets are now located in Byron’s town centre, focused around the railway area. Henna Harem is found under a big old melaleuca tree next to the railway line – pretty much in line with the Northern Hotel but behind Jonson St – accessed by the graffiti walkway. Look for the little caravan!

The markets spread along part of the main street and all the way behind the station and grassy railway line – it’s a great space to explore.
